Dolphins

Welcome to Dolphins and Super Dolphins!

Dolphins are good teammates.

Here are some rules to remember to help us be the best teammates we can be.

1) Be at practice, on time and ready to go.

  • Come to practices!
  • Come early, so you are ready to go when practice starts.
  • Things you need: competitive swimsuit, goggles, and a swim cap (if you have long hair.) Fins (flippers for swimmers - not diving fins) are recommended.  Canyons swim caps can be purchased in the office, everything else can be purchased at SwimWorks.

2) Be kind and respectful.

  • To your coach - listen and follow directions.  Raise your hand if you have a question.
  • To your teammates - never kick, injure, or put down another swimmer.
  • To the pool area - no food, drinks, or band-aids in the pool area.  Throw away any trash.  If you borrow equipment, treat it nicely and put it away when you are done.
  • Parents must park in the designated parking lots 7 or 8, or purchase a pass to park in lot 5.  There is no parking available by the pool for swimming parents, drop-off only.

3) Be safe and aware.

  • Don’t run in the pool area or locker rooms/bathrooms.
  • Bathrooms are for using the toilet only, do not change or shower in the bathrooms. Boys over four years old may not enter the women's locker room.
  • Parents - please walk your swimmers between the pool area and the parking lot.
  • Parents and siblings need to remain in the bleacher area during practice, only swimmers are allowed on the pool deck.

4) Be a good swimmer.

  • Work hard and always do your best.
  • Don’t correct other swimmers, or worry about who is slower or faster than you.
  • Cheer on your teammates.
  • Have fun!

Absences and Make-Up Classes

At this point all Dolphins classes are full.  Due to our commitment to keeping Dolphins classes at 8 swimmers or less per group, there will be no make-ups offered.  There is a limited amount of make-up availability for Super Dolphins.  Please see below.

You may come to another class time to make up two missed classes per month.  You can only make up in a class that is not full and make ups need to be scheduled during the same month that the classes were missed. Swimmers may not make up a class by swimming in two consecutive classes on the same day. Please email Amanda for availability. There are no make-up classes for days missed due to holiday team closure.
