CANYONS SWIMMERS INVADE BUENAVENTURA
Summer isn't even here yet but Canyons kids are making their plans to attend the Summer Age Group Championships and Junior Olympics. To achieve that goal a large group of seasoned and new swimmers hit the water at Bueanventura this week and turned the water blue and gold.
Time drops came from all over the pool. Leading the club with seven time drops were: Darren Chang, Christian Farfan, Matthew Johnson, Matteo Kim, Jonathan Morsch, Jared Tennison and Andrew Yasko.

A few individual highlights included Michelle Ahlberg picking up her first JO time with a 30.21 50 free. 12-Year-Olds Megan Schultz & Byana Waage took on the open events and showed with both girls posting JO times in the 1500 Free. Megan 13/14 JO times in the 800, 200 Back & 400 IM and a 13/14 June Invite time in the 200 Breast.
Nina Morrison dropped a minute-plus in the 1500 Free and grabbed an SCRT time as did Mitch Johnson shedding more than a minute. Nicole Antoniuk & Matt Johnson added SCRT times in the 400 IM and 200 Free, respectively.
Swimmers picking up new JO times were Michelle Ahlberg, Joseph Ang, Asia Antoniuk, Jaryd Borja, Everett Howard, Katie Huntington, Melvin Martinez, Johnathan Morsch, Tanner Olson, Tara Olson, Emma Osowski, Mik Ranslem, Kian Taylor, Tyler Tran, Sean Tucker & Phillip Wong.
Swimmers qualifying with June Age Group Invite times were Joseph Ang, Asia Antoniuk, Alberto Armienta, Matt Howard, Katie Huntington, Brandon Hwang, Tara Olson, Sean Tucker.
