Coming in with 150 swimmers Canyons Aquatic Club easily won the David Grahman Coastal Championships at Buenaventura pool. Eight year old Sasha Kumar continued her assault on the record books by breaking two team records. Her first, the 50 yard breast stroke was timed in 41.97 breaking the record et in 1993 by Ashley Dickinson (42.56). Her second record also came in the breaststroke, this time the 100 yard breast where she clocked 1:32.05 obliterating the old record of 1:44.85 held by Andrea Kropp 2002...
Mik Ranslem was the the age group swimmer of the meet picking up several Age Group Championship (formerly known as AA times) qualifying times including one in the 100 fly, an event she's never tried before. Only 9 years old, Mik went on to win highpoint award for the 9 - 10 girls age group. For the boys, Riley Mita took won highpoint in the 13 - 14 age groups.
