TEAM RECORDS FALL AT SECTIONALS
The California/Nevada Sectionals came to a conclusion, Sunday at Mission Viejo with several impressive Canyons swims including 3 team records. Due to the Olympic year, the meet was a long course event (this is normally the end of the short course season) and several Canyons swimmers resumed right where they left off in August. Breaking records at this meet where Jordan Danny who took out Renee Viveros's 2004, 15 & older, 200 IM record (2:26.48) with her 2:24.61 effort. KT Livingstone also took out a Viveros record as she flew to the 100 butterfly record of 1:04.78 breaking Renee's record 2003 of 1:04.87 set in 2003. Riley Mita broke his own 13-14 800 free record with an 8:52.95 effort.

POOL ACCESS AND SAFTEY CONCERNS
Canyons Aquatic Club has enjoyed a successful 30-year relationship with The College Of The Canyons. Contrary to popular belief, we are not associated with the college beyond our rental of their aquatic facility. As a tenant of the college, Canyons Aquatics strives to be the best tenant we can be. To achieve that goal we need help from all our swimmers and their parents.

Lately, our staff has noticed an increase in unattended children, children wandering out of the pool facility, parents and children cutting through the construction site and a general lack of respect for the premises... Read all the details HERE.

The 57 swimmers are all current choosing to train with Canyons and their high school programs to reap the benefits of intensive club workouts and less crowded lanes. Historically, Canyons swimmers have led their teams and this year we expect no less. Read all the details HERE.

NOLAN KOON TAKES OUT 200IM RECORD
In reviewing results from the Toyota Grand Prix a few weeks ago, we noticed that Nolan Koon broke the team record in the short course 200IM. Nolan's time of 1:51.42 broke Ryan Parmenter's 1995 team record of 1:52.08. This brings a total of 21 records broken by 9 different swimmers since the start of this season in September
