CANYONS SWIMS WITH THE ROSES
  
140 Canyons swimmers descended on Pasadena this past Saturday to attend the Canyons vs. Rose Bowl Aquatics dual meet. The second meeting of the two clubs (last year Rose Bowl came to our pool at COC) was a great event with the host club putting on a terrific meet. Most Canyons swimmers used the meet as a tune up for big meets to come or chance to pick up a new qualifying time. The meet was one of the rare opportunities for our youngest swimmers to compete along side some of our oldest and best.
Dropping time in all their races were:
Alexandria K Feather, Thomas Hansen, Rory Mita, Nina Morrison,
Tanner Olson, Stephanie Poleman, Taylor Poliseno, Megan Schultz
and Sierra Turcotte.
Several swimmers picked up new time standards led by Bob Hwang who notched yet another National Time with his win the 400IM. Alvina Wong earned a Senior Development time in the 100 fly as did Allison Morales in the 100 breaststroke.
Nina Morrison continues to boil up the water every time she swims with a three new time standards achieved in including a short course JO in the 100 IM, a summer Age group championship time in the 50 back and a winter age group championship time in the 50 fly. Rebekah Haw earned a JO time in the 50 back and Mitch Johnson picked up two JO times as well (50 fly, 500 free).

The meet victory went to Rose Bowl but coaches are very proud of the quality of swims from the entire club and look forward to part III in the series next year.
