SWIM MEET OF CHAMPIONS REPORT

DAY 4

Konrad Antoniuk returned to SMOC with one thing in mind, getting his first ever Junior National cut. 16 minutes and 25.93 seconds later, he achieved that goal and took 51.25 second off his own team record (17:18.74) set at the beginning of the season. Konrad came away with the 12th fastest metric mile of the meet.

Jordan Danny, attacked the 100 breast and came up just .01 off a National Reportable time in that event finishing 13th overall with a personal best of 1:14.00 and wrapping up a very successful weekend that saw her earn her first National Championship qualifying time.

Riley Mita came into the meet looking for a North American Challenge Cup qualifying time and dropped 21.95 seconds to top that margin with a 17.04.56. Along the way Riley broke the 13 - 14 team record in the 800 free with his split time of 9:00.03 taking out Randy Gibson's 1991 record of 9:00.66. Riley also picked up his best ever 400 time in the same race with a split of 4:26.93.

DAY 3

0.99. That's the difference between where Jordan Danny is today, after her fastest 200 breaststroke ever, and where she plans to be very soon. Jordan swam a personal best 2:36.98, shaving almost 2 seconds off her previous best of 2:38.54. The .99 is the amount of time Jordan will need to drop to earn herself a trip to Nebraska next summer for the Olympic Trials. Jordan's SMOC swim earned her 7th place overall and made her the youngest finisher in the top 8 and earned her a National Championship qualifying time. Jordan returns to the pool on Sunday for the 100 breaststroke.

Adam Kerpleman continued to show his blazing speed as he finished 18th overall and 2nd in the bonus final of the 50 free with a 24.32
