Introducing our New Pioneer Group TryoutsWe are excited to announce the launch of a new group within our swim team, the "Pioneers," starting on August 12th. This group is specifically designed for our youngest swimmers, aged 5-8 and 9-11, who have demonstrated the ability to swim a 25-yard freestyle and 25-yard backstroke and are interested in joining the swim team rather than just taking lessons. This is a group which is first come first served so please sign up for a tryout soon!
Who Can Be a Part of Pioneers Pioneers 1: 5-8 year olds who can swim a 25-yard freestyle and backstroke. Pioneers 2: 9-11 year olds who can swim a 25-yard freestyle and backstroke. What Are the Training Times? Pioneers 1: Practice times will be 40 minutes and offered 5 days a week. Swimmers can swim up to 3 times a week. The schedule is still being finalized but will most likly practice at 4:10 PM during the school year. Pioneers 2: Practice times will be 45 minutes and offered 5 days a week. Swimmers can swim all 5 days if they choose. Tryout Dates For Canyons Families tryouts are July 17, 19. If you can’t make those dates no problem! You can come to open tryouts! Open tryout dates: July 24, 26 We host tryouts every Wednesday and Friday year around. Come find your place at Canyons! |
Returning Swimmer Registration
If you are a returning member for Competitive Swim Team, please contact the Canyons Office, [email protected], for further instructions. Do not register without consulting the Canyons Office first.

During a swim team tryout swimmers will be expected to complete the following swims:
- 25 Yard Freestyle
- 25 Yard Backstroke
- 25 Yard Breaststroke
- 25 Yard Butterfly
Step 1
Check out our tryout calendar below and email the Canyons Office, [email protected], to request the preferred day and time of your tryout. Slots labeled as 'Tryout' are available tryouts spots.
Step 2
An office staff member will contact you by email to confirm your requested tryout time and provide you with forms that will need to be completed prior to the tryout.

Step 3
Once the tryout has been completed, the coach will determine which group the swimmer should join, and an office member will send you a link and instructions to register with the club.
