Marco Bellardi |
Coach Marco joins us from Midtown Weston Aquatics, where he served as the head coach. There, he built the team from ground zero, and within a few years, they had age group athletes place top ten in the country, had Futures qualifiers, and a Futures champion.
Coach Marco graduated from Universidad Pedagogica Experimental Libertador in Venezuela. There, he received his undergraduate degree in Physical Education and his master's degree in Biomechanics. Coach Marco has been the head coach of the Venezuelan National Team five times, head coach of South Florida's All-Star team multiple times, and has been on trips around the globe coaching elite-level swimming his entire professional career. When speaking about the ability to focus on our age group program here at Canyons Aquatic Club, he couldn’t be more excited. “I believe in helping the athletes find their smile every day and that fast swimming is a direct result of a positive attitude. There is no greater feeling than helping young athletes develop their persistence, determination, discipline, dedication, and leadership skills.” says Coach Marco Bellardi. Coach Marco is a believer in using video to do biomechanics analysis of a swimmer’s stroke. This is used to improve the execution of any movement pattern and develop new techniques and locate and correct defects in the athlete’s performance. When Coach Marco is not coaching young athletes he likes to compete in Triathlons. |
