Learn To Swim
Requirements: none.
Goal: WATER SAFE. Face Submersion, blowing bubbles, 10 relaxed bob, progress from supported kick on stomach to unassisted kick on stomach, float on back assisted.
Level 1
Requirements:See previous levels
Goal: Kicking on stomach able to recover to back float/kicking unassisted. Front crawl arms. Diving down and retrieving objects. Comfortably kick from steps/wall to the instructor (~5 yards). Float on back unassisted.
Level 2
Requirements: See previous levels
Goal: Full freestyle with breathing, backstroke arms and legs simultaneously, dolphin kick, swimming underwater (~5 yards. Through weighted hoops), jump into deep water(12 ft) swim to instructor (~12 yards)*
Level 3
Requirements: See previous levels
Goal: Freestyle with side breathing. Streamline kicking submerged on back and stomach w/ both flutter kick and Dolphin kick. Breaststroke kick. Treading water for :30. Sitting Dive.Retrieving objects deeper underwater.
Level 4
Requirements: See previous levels
Goal: Tread water for 1 min, Breaststroke arms (fingertips, hands, full pull). Full Breaststroke. Refinement of Freestyle, Backstroke. Kneeling Dive. Flip Turns.25 Freestyle.
Level 5
Requirements: See previous levels
Goal: Butterfly, Treading Water 2:00. Refinement of Freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke, and flip turns. Freestyle with bilateral breathing, Standing Dive. 25 Freestyle, 25 backstroke. Open Turns.
