Age Group III |

Location: Santa Clarita Pool Swimmers ages 13-14 can apply to join our JO III Group. Time standards achieved and previous attendance are weighed heavily in the acceptance process. The objective of all JO III workouts is to help the swimmers gain the skills necessary to be ready for our Senior groups and reach the Sectional, Junior National, and National level. The training methods and techniques used are similar to the Senior groups and designed to prepare you for the elite levels of swimming while still making fundamentals and versatility a priority. Move ups will be done in August, January, and April but can occur at any time. No attendance requirement, but 3 days or more weekly attendance is strongly encouraged. |
Age Group II |
Coach: Courtney Skelley
Location: College of the Canyons The Age Group II group is for 11-12 year old swimmers who have already learned the stroke basics and are ready to begin training at a competitive level. Swimmers in this group are focused on improving technique, and increasing speed and endurance, while becoming well-rounded swimmers who can swim the 50 yard and 100 yard stroke events, 100 yd Individual Medley. Swimmers will learn proper technique to improve all strokes, starts, and turns. Age Group II swimmers focus on self-improvement through competition at an appropriate level. The workouts are progressively more challenging than those in the Age Group I level. This group is highly encouraged to compete regularly and times achieved through competition will be required to move to the Junior Olympic levels. |

Swimmers in this group are focused on improving technique and increasing speed and endurance, while becoming well-rounded swimmers who can swim the 50 yard and 100 yard stroke events, and the 100 yd Individual Medley. Swimmers will learn proper technique to improve all strokes, starts, and turns. Age Group I swimmers focus on self-improvement through competition at an appropriate level. This group is highly encouraged to compete regularly and times achieved through competition will be required to move to the Junior Olympic levels. |
